House Building Time Lapse

This was a great video created by Smedly Yates.  It shows the house build of the Dodd’s home from start to finish.  So thankful that we had such a fantastic team come out and build with us.

Mareroro… Three missionaries and two houses

In case you did not know there was a recent trip to Mareroro to start house building.  However, this trip was not to complete the houses, but an effort to speed up the house building for when the team arrives from the States in September.  Matt Dodd, Zach Cann and I decided that it would be a productive use of our time to start this and being on the backside of the work I am thankful we did it! “Do we have everything?”  That is the question to ask when you are building houses in the middle of the Jungles of Papua New Guinea.  Last I checked Home Depot is still around 7000 miles...

Good things come in small packages

If there is a battle to win, a dragon to slay or a dangerous feat to perform; rest assured that they will be the first through the gate. Since we arrived in PNG Greer has been asking to make a Bow and Arrow set. The only problem is there are not many trees in our backyard to fell and turn into a bow. God however provided for Greer’s desire another way. Seken is a good friend here in PNG and he is our contact for...

Remembering the meaning of “Crucified”

“The plane dropped the atomic bombs and ended the war.” That is a summary statement of the Enola Gay dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing 140,000 people instantly. The dates were August 6th and 9th 1945 and those events ultimately ended World War II. The bombs changed warfare in the history of mankind and devastated the people and the cities they were dropped on. That summary statement however is lacking the magnitude of what occurred when the bombs exploded.1 In John 19:18a we find a similar summary statement. John is describing Jesus walking to Golgotha...
