Back to Normal
Praise God we are back from the trip! The total miles ended up being 4780 from the original estimate of 4200. I am grateful to God for the opportunity that we had to visit so many people. We were also thankful to God for the safe travels on the various roads we took. We have had several people ask what the most memorable part of the trip was? Although that seems like a simple question it has been hard to answer. The entire trip was so memorable that I can think of at least 100 things that we will remember. Here’s one: Before we headed home from California we celebrated Greer’s...

With over 3100 miles traveled and visiting 4 Northwestern states, we are starting our return home. It has been an encouraging time to meet with friends and family as well as thanking supporters. I had the opportunity to speak at a church in Seattle and met a couple that had spent 13 years in PNG! We are so thankful to God for the opportunities that we have had as well as safety in our travels. The kids have been doing great even in the midst of long stents in the car seats. The kids will occasionally watch a movie on the iPad – I think Lorie and I could recite the movie Frozen from...

We have been on the road for the last 3 days and driven over 1550 miles of the 4200 estimated total miles. It has been amazing to see the change in landscape from California, Oregon, and now Washington. God’s creation is truly vast and huge! It is incredible to think that we could drive for 3 days and be in the car so long—only to make it to three states in America. People are insignificant in light of God’s massive creation. The wedding is Saturday and we are looking forward to seeing a good amount of family and friends. We will be leaving for Idaho to visit supporters on...

This was the last week at the job I have had for the last 4.5 years; First Impression Security Doors. This was bar none one of the most challenging jobs that I have had, but it yielded the most growth as well.
Read MoreHermeneutics
I started Hermeneutics class 4 weeks ago. My brain has been exposed (again) to everything you are suppose to learn in grade school. That’s right folks: Nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, articles, prepositions, infinitives, conjunctions, phrases, clauses, and sentences. It is amazing how point of a passage in Scripture becomes clear after it is diagrammed. It does not mean that the passage was obscure before, it simply makes clear what is being said. There are several resources for learning how to diagram sentences on the internet. I have a few links below if you happen to...

We are heading out of town April 13th for a wedding. Lorie’s sister Jordan Applegate is getting married to Alex Devine on a Saturday afternoon. We will be driving from Phoenix for this trip and that equals a whole lot of hours in the car for the kids (and us). We will be in California, Oregon, Washington, and possibly Idaho. We are looking forward to seeing family and the possibility of meeting with a few groups of people about Papua New Guinea! If you are following this blog and would have a desire for us to present information about the Gospel going to PNG please contact us! We...
